It whispers to me… ancient words that sing to eternity. I understand them, yet the language is unfamiliar like it speaks directly to my soul, twisting through me. No one understands. No one can feel what I feel.

“No, my beloved… No one else is worthy to understand. No one else is like you. Skaedir sees you. Skaedir knows you. We have watched you, chosen you, shaped you. You have already given yourself to us, even if you won’t admit it. It beats in your heart, courses through your veins. Every breath you take is a prayer to us. And we… we will consume you, my beloved. Bit by bit. For your hunger for us is irresistible, just as our hunger for you is insatiable. It burns within you, doesn’t it?”

I… I feel it pulling me closer. No stop! Leave me alone. Get out of my head! I… I can’t… I can’t break free… and I don’t want to break free.

“You can’t break free. And why would you? You are already ours. You have always been ours. That burning thirst consuming you from within that is Skaedir. We are what you have always longed for, what you dream of in the night, what you dare not speak of in the light. We are the excess you’ve always craved to drown in. So let go. Let us in. Let us fill you, my beloved… Let us love you, shape you, break you. And when you fall, fall into us.”

I can feel it flowing through me… it’s so warm, so heavy, so radiant, so golden. I want more. I need more. I want to hear more of its whispers…

“Oh, my beloved… it will never be enough. You will always want more. And we will give you more. Again and again, until you can no longer tell where you end and we begin. Until we are one. We will fill every void within you, until you shatter from us, until we are all you ever feel, all you ever are. For that’s what you want, isn’t it? To feel us, to know us, to be consumed by us, until nothing else remains?”
